Used for painting upper surfaces of US Navy carrier-based aircraft from 1955 until the early 1980s.
From February 1977 until 1980-1981 gradually applied as overall color of carrier-based fighters (F-14 Tomcat & F-4 Phantom II).
Lower surface color of USMC AV-8B Harrier II aircraft finished in the Land Camouflage Scheme used from 1985 until the late 1980s.
One of the colors used in the so-called Ferris Scheme evaluated by the US Navy in 1976.
Lower surface color of US Navy SH-3 Sea King helicopters from 1971 until the 1980s.
Overall color of USMC CH-53D helicopter from 2008 to 2012.
A fair equivalent of M-485 Light Grey used as overall color of US Navy & USMC carrier-based aircraft from the end of December 1940. From mid-October 1941 until January 1943 used as the undersurface colour of US Navy & USMC carrier-based aircraft finished in the Blue Grey/Light Grey scheme which was also ordered for all their shore-based aircraft in February 1942.
